That One Lion and More Social Media Pet Peeves/Insights – Back at the Lodge

Another very unique episode of “Back at the Lodge” is now available on iTunes and Stitcher. This was recorded earlier in August, but Jim and I sat outside and tried to talk about “that lion” story. Jim, of course, wanted me to talk more about what I would do in Dr. Palmer’s shoes – or if I were hired as his PR counsel and honestly, I didn’t want to go there. There are too many unknowns and too much false information to even make an intelligent statement. So I kind of danced around that a little bit. But I did get on a high horse in regards to who should be talking to media on the hunting community as a whole? I recommended Nick Pinizzatto of Sportsmen’s Alliance. Watch a few of his interviews from August here and here.

Who would you recommend?

And there can be a case study made for people we DON’T want to do media outreach on our behalf. Like this lame Skype interview of a huntress and her boyfriend talking to Carson Daly on the Today Show. Where did these people come from??

Michelle Ready to Record!

After the break, Jim and I try ‘scoping’ while recording a podcast. I thought it would be cool to share the video with you along with the podcast – but alas, I didn’t realize the video only lasts 24 hours. So much to learn on Periscope. But I agree with Jim that Periscope will be the hottest ticket at SHOT Show – guaranteed.

Couple other show notes:

Padgram – App suggested to use for iPad Instagram browsing
